Hello fellow Deviants, I haven't been on DA for a while, and I have been trying to find the words. My close and dear friend of the past 13 years Tariq Raheem passed away as of last Wednesday , April 11th. He was the first artist I ever followed here on DeviantArt , he introduced me to the girl I would marry and he became a brother to me. Words cannot convey how devastating it's been for me and my wife. He has left a huge hole in our lives.
Tariq you were truly an inspiration for all of us. I miss you terribly. I hope you are resting in peace creating your amazing art in paradise.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to apologize to you all for being gone from DeviantArt for so long. Life is a funny twisted road and sometimes we get caught up in it. Certainly living in L.A. has been a whirlwind for the last 5 years. A lot has happened of course most of it good. Some of you are friends with me on Facebook and have been able to keep up. Yesterday my friend, and brother, the man who introduced me to Flora the love of my life, my mentor and closest of friends Tariq Raheem passed away. Flora and I are devastated , we’ve lost the biggest part of our lives. Flora and Tariq were best friends decades before she and I even met. They were inseparable and he became as close to being my brother as anyone could ever get. This has left a huge hole in our lives. I will miss you Tariq more than you could ever imagine. RIP

50,000 PAGEVIEWS!!! thank you allWell, I am not an illustrator. I am a writer and that doesn't always make it easy to promote my creative work online or on deviantart. Still, thanks to many talented illustrators and painters that understood my concepts and visions, we have collaborated to create an awesome gallery. I really should have left all the work up while i was on hiatus but oh well. it is back up now and thanks to the community, I just hit a milestone! 50,000 page views!
